Using this patch antenna mounted directly to a pair of video goggles that have a built in 5.8GHz receiver, or directly to the front of an Immersion Duo receiver (IRLDUO5800V4), or even mounted on a tripod, you can easily triple to quadruple the range compared to using SpiroNET omni directional antennas. This allows you to push the limits of 5.8GHz range, and maximize the capability of CE-legal 25mW systems! Additionally, it offers the same excellent multi-path rejection not found in any other conventional patch antenna.
For 600mW systems, its time to start worrying about the range of the control link, since with a combination of this antenna, and a spiroNET omni, the video range can greatly exceed the control range of most 2.4GHz radios. Precision manufactured with very tight tolerances and 100% tested on a professional antenna tester to ensure maximum range and performance.
Fly With Friends
Two variants of the SpiroNET 5.8GHz Patch antenna are available. The original right-hand circular polarized antenna (with the white back), and a left-hand version (with the black back). When flying with friends, fly alternate channels with alternate polarization to decrease inter-model interference.
